At the 152nd Eurimages Board of Management meeting hosted by the Bulgarian National Film Center two Bulgarian projects have received production grants from the Fund.
Patrol cars by Stephan Komandarev and the Bulgarian minority co-production Strahinja by Stefan Arsenijević have been selected among 55 projects.
Patrol cars is the second film in Komandarev’s trilogy that started with Directons (Cannes 2017 Official selection).
Three teams of police officers patrol the streets of a society losing all sense.
The script is written by Simeon Ventsislavov and Stephan Komandarev. Behind the camera is Vesselin Hristov and the cast includes Irini Jambonas, Stephan Denolyubov, Assen Blatechki.
Patrol cars is produced by Argo Film – Stephan Komandarev and Katya Trichkova with the support of the Bulgarian National Film Center.
Patrol cars is the fourth film by Stephan Komandarev winning Eurimages support.
Strahinja (Serbia/Luxemburg/France/Bulgaria) tells the story of a 22-year-old refugee from Ghana, who does his best to integrate in Serbia. His greatest fight though is to win back the woman he loves.
The Bulgarian co-producer of the film is Chouchkov Brothers with the support of the Bulgarian National Film Center.
