The Film Industry Amendment Act was promulgated on 27th of November in the State Gazette. Parliament adopted the Act on 15 November.
By the amendments, the State aid schemes shall be compliant with the terms and conditions of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 (de minimis).
Public funding shall be granted under three schemes: two for production and distribution in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014. The third one provides Sate aid for festivals and exhibition in compliance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid.
The National Film Center is thus entitled under the Regulations to grant public and de minimis aid to projects winning the 2018 sessions of the National Film Center Executive Agency so that to put film production suspended since December 2017 back on track.
