Georgi Djulgerov receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Golden Rose 2018
Bulgarian National Film Center is pleased and privileged to announce that a Lifetime Achievement Award was introduced at the Closing Night Gala of the 36th edition of Golden Rose Bulgarian Feature Film Festival 2018, Varna to be granted to Prof. Georgi Djulgerov on the occasion of his 75th anniversary.
Prof. Georgi Djulgerov is among the most popular award-winning Bulgarian film directors. His movies have become timeless cult classics.
Among his prizes are: Silver Bear for Best Director, Berlin IFF 1978 for Advantage; the Art Cinema Award, Sarajevo IFF for Lady Zee (2005); the Youth Jury Award for The Test, Locarno IFF 1972; Top Prize in Georgia (1997) and the Young European Jury Award, Mons IF of Love Films 1999, Belgium for The Black Swallow; Golden Knight for About Neshka Robeva and Her Girls, Palermo ISFF (1986), etc.
