First grant session for feature films 2017 – Results

A total budget of 1 856 000 Euro will be distributed among 12 projects.

In the category: budget over 306 000 Euro there are two winning projects:

Fear by Ivaylo Hristov (Losers), prod. Profilm – Asen Vladimirov and

Spinning Top – Scriptwriter Vladislav Todorov (Zift) , director Theodor Ushev (Blind Vaysha), producer Peripeteia – Vladislav Todorov.

In the category: budget up to 306 000 Euro  there is one winning project: Petya of my Petya: scriptwriters Neli Dimitrova and Valentina Minkova, director: Alexander Kosev, producer Nikolay Urumov.

Three short feature films will be supported: Boys don’t cry – scriptwriter Katerina Lambrinova, director Philip Andreev, production: Boroughfilm – Georgi Balkanski, Vladimir Andreev, Night Schift – scriptwriter Yordan Petkov, director Eddie Schwartz, production Bazuka Ltd – Eddie Schwartz and The Priest – scriptwriter Deyan Enev, scriptwriter and director Borislav Kolev, production – Projector Film – Maria Landova.

In the Debut category the winner is Ashes over the Sun – scriptwriter: Zlatimir Kolarov, Alexander Kalinov, directed by Bogomil Kalinov, production: Invictus Ltd – Kalin Kalinov.

Five projects will receive development grant:

Police patrol – scriptwriters Simeon Ventzislavov, Stephan Komandarev, producer: Argo Film – Stephan Komandarev;

Lilly and the anarchist – scriptwriter Dimiter Petkov, producer ARS Ltd – Blagomir Alexiev;

Electricity – scriptwriters Ivaylo Minov, Svetozar Georgiev, producer Morning Glory Film Ltd – Stela Pavlova;

The Bell – scriptwriter Alexander Sekulov, producer Baki films Ltd – Hristo Bakalov;

Yellow oleander – scriptwriter Dimiter Stoyanovich, prod. Chouchkov Brothers – Borislav Chouchkov.

One minority co-production will be supported by the Bulgarian Film Center:

Pari – scriptwriter and director – Siamak Etemadi, Bulgarian co-producer Chouchkov Brothers – Borislav Chouchkov.
