A working meeting of the film agencies’ directors of Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia was held in Athens

On 28^th of June in Athens, at the invitation of the Association of Greek Film Producers and Directors, a working meeting was held of directors of the film centers of Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia. The meeting was attended by Elektra Venaki , director of the Greek Film Center , Kamen Balkanski , director of the Bulgarian National Film Center, and Boban Jevtic , director of the Film Center Serbia. During the meeting the directors exchanged experience and discussed the possibilities of co-production and cooperation in the distribution, promotion and marketing of films.

The director of the Bulgarian Film Center presented the film support scheme according to the Bulgarian Film Industry Act and the co-production opportunities.

“There has been a growing interest in cooperation between Bulgarian and Greek producers in the last years”, Kamen Balkanski said. “Some of the very recent examples are the productions Son of Sofia by Elina Psykou and Brighton 4^th  by Levan Koguashvili”.

Meanwhile at the Second call for international co-productions with the Bulgarian Film Center, the project “Pari”  – scriptwriter and director – Siamak Etemadi, Bulgarian co-producer Chouchkov Brothers – Borislav Chouchkov, was supported.
