The myth of Pegasus, as a symbol of artistic zeal, along with the myths of Icarus, Prometheus and Sisyphus, is one of the eternal themes which has often been revised throughout the centuries. The Pegasus’ inevitable companion is the Poet – they are as inseparable as Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Every “desperate” poet thinks that his personal experience is so important and interesting that it must be relayed to the readers at any cost, even when the last drop of inspiration has gone.
